The article focuses on the trends of changes in US policy towards the conflict in 1967-1973. Attention is paid to the formation of the Palestine Liberation Organization, which forces the US to take new positions related to this reality. The direction of the US military-political and diplomatic approaches in the region is analyzed, as a result of which two clear trends are presented 1. Rejection of the "outwardly neutral" policy of previous decades and striking at the prestige of the USSR through a proxy war. 2. To court the Arabs, forcing them to peace, with the mechanism of the constant maintenance of Israel's military superiority. The facts are researched and interpreted on the basis of the methods of historical impartiality, comparative analysis. As a conclusion, the thesis is put forward that the growing power of the Arabs, the oil factor, the easing of tension in international relations in the mid-1970s forced the US to pursue a policy of individual courtship of the Arabs and pushing them to conclude a separate peace with Israel. The first step was the withdrawal of the most influential and powerful Arab country, Egypt, from the anti-Israeli camp as part of the Camp David agreement.
