AN INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE “ACTUAL PROBLEMS OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE” WAS HELD AT SUSH
On October 24, 2025, with the support of the Higher Education and Science Committee of the MESCS of RA, an international scientific conference “Actual Problems of Education and Science” was held at State University of Shirak.
Approximately 160 specialists from SUSh and a number of universities in Armenia and abroad applied to participate in the conference, including the University of Lisbon, Yerevan State University, Armenian State Pedagogical University, National Polytechnic University of Armenia and its branch in Gyumri, Armenian State University of Economics and its branch in Gyumri, Armenian State Institute of Physical Culture and Sport, Armenian National Agrarian University, European University of Armenia, Russian-Armenian University, Northern University, institutes and centers of NAS RA, Vanadzor, Gavar, Goris State Universities, schools in Moscow and Shirak region.
Following the registration of participants, the conference was organized in a mixed face to face and remote formats, in the frame of a plenary session and seven sections:
- Physical, Mathematical, Technical Sciences and Their Teaching Methodologies;
- Earth Sciences, Biological Sciences (Agriculture) and Their Teaching Methodologies;
- Economics;
- Historical Sciences and Their Teaching Methodologies;
- Philological Sciences and Their Teaching Methodologies;
- Pedagogical Sciences, Art History and Their Teaching Methodologies;
- Psychological Sciences.
At the plenary session of the conference, welcome speech was given by SUSh Rector E. Serobyan, VSU acting rector A. Tsaturyan, director of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia Gyumri Branch A. Kostandyan, and director of SUSh Center for Science Policy and Innovation L. Margaryan.
At the plenary session, head of the chair of Armenian Language and Literature, PhD in Philology, associate professor M. Khachatryan presented a report on Av. Isahakyan’s linguistic views and figurative speech.
After a break organized at the university’s “Key to Intelligence” club, the conference continued in sections, where participants presented their papers in face too face and remote formats.
After the activities, carried out in the sections, the solemn closing of the conference took place in the hall of SUSh. The section co-chairs summarized the conference, confirming that it had had passed with intense discussion, exchange of opinions, and proposals of solutions to the raised problems. Authors of papers, presented during the conference, will receive certificates of participation, and the introduced peer-reviewed papers will be published in SUSh Scientific Proceedings N2, which will be published in 2025 and included in the list of scientific publications acceptable by the Higher Education and Science Committee of RA.
