Scientific seminar on “The Linguistic Peculiarities of Folk Pedagogy in the Shirak Dialect” at SUSh

During the scientific seminar initiated by the Head of the SUSh Chair of Armenian Language and Literature, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Marieta Khachatryan, a linguistic and stylistic examination of small-scale genres of oral creativity of the people was carried out in the context of the word and deed of ancient Shirak.

The speaker particularly emphasized the semantic and stylistic value of crystallized forms of folk thinking: proverbs, sayings, admonitions and aphorisms, highlighting their significance in the context of language situation of the information age.

Also noteworthy was the presentation of proverbs and sayings as a unique “folk code”, which, passing down from generation to generation, had a guiding and educational significance in the traditional environment.
