Discussion Meeting with Students at State University of Shirak

A discussion meeting with students was held at Shirak State University on October 29, bringing together university leadership, including Anahit Valesyan, Lilit Margaryan, Hovik Melkonyan, and Gayane Avetisyan, along with members of the Student Council and the Student Scientific Society. The meeting focused on understanding students’ needs and exploring practical ways to respond to them.

Such discussions are an important part of the university’s ongoing efforts to strengthen a student-centered environment, as outlined in its strategic development plan. They create a space for open dialogue, where students can share their views, suggest improvements, and express their level of satisfaction with their studies.

Opening the meeting, Anahit Valesyan emphasized the importance of student involvement in university life and highlighted the need to carefully consider their concerns and expectations.

L. Margaryan pointed out that the university prioritizes student-centered learning and ensures that students’ opinions are taken into account in decision-making processes. She also noted their active participation in various university bodies.

G. Avetisyan spoke about the importance of continuously evaluating students’ academic and social needs in order to maintain a high-quality educational environment, adding that previously raised issues have already been addressed.

Hovik Melkonyan encouraged students to take advantage of exchange and mobility programs, explaining that these opportunities contribute significantly to their personal and professional development.

The meeting concluded with an active discussion, during which students raised questions about internships, assessment methods, mobility programs, and university events, as well as other relevant topics.
