REPUBLICAN STUDENT SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE HELD AT SUSh

On 19 June 2026, Shirak State University hosted its annual Republican Student Scientific Conference.

Approximately 150 students and specialists submitted applications to participate in the conference, including 110 participants from Shirak State University and 40 representatives from other higher education institutions across Armenia. Participants represented Yerevan State University, the Ijevan Branch of Yerevan State University, Armenian State Pedagogical University, the Russian-Armenian University, the European University of Armenia, Yerevan Haybusak University, as well as Vanadzor State University, Gavar State University, and Goris State University.

Following participant registration, the conference commenced with a plenary session and continued in ten thematic sections:

  • Physical and Mathematical Sciences and Their Teaching Methodologies;
  • Earth Sciences;
  • Biological Sciences;
  • Philological Sciences and Their Teaching Methodologies;
  • Historical Sciences and Their Teaching Methodologies;
  • Legal Sciences;
  • Pedagogical Sciences;
  • Psychological Sciences;
  • Social Sciences;
  • Sports and Art Studies.

The plenary session was opened with welcoming remarks by Y. Serobyan, Rector of Shirak State University and Chair of the Conference Organising Committee, and L. Margaryan, Deputy Chair of the Organising Committee.

The plenary presentations were delivered by Shirak State University students A. Avdalyan (co-author: M. Khachatryan, PhD in Biological Sciences, Associate Professor) and Sh. Petrosyan (co-author: A. Tadevosyan, PhD in Historical Sciences, Associate Professor).

Following the completion of the sectional sessions, the conference closing ceremony took place in the university’s assembly hall. During the ceremony, the co-chairs of the sections summarised the outcomes of the conference, noting that it had been conducted in an atmosphere of meaningful and engaging discussions, productive exchange of ideas, exploration of solutions to the issues raised, and the development of new ideas and opportunities for future collaboration.

The successful organisation of the conference was supported by members of the Student Scientific Society of Shirak State University, as well as students of the Informatics and Applied Mathematics and Information Technologies study programs.

All participants who delivered presentations will receive certificates of participation. Scientific papers recommended for publication following the peer review process will be included in the conference proceedings.
