Regular Session of the Scientific Council Held at Shirak State University

On July 3, Shirak State University hosted a regular session of the Scientific Council, led by the Chairman of the Scientific Council, University Rector Y. Serobyan. The agenda items were unanimously approved by the Scientific Council.

The Chairman of the Scientific Council presented the first item, which envisioned the election of a Board of Trustees member from among the candidates nominated by the ShSU academic staff.

The Faculty of Humanities had nominated Artak Hovhannisyan, Nelly Nalbandyan, and Hovik Melkonyan as candidates. Among the candidates, A. Hovhannisyan and N. Nalbandyan withdrew their candidacies.

The Scientific Council took note of the official positions of the two candidates.

As a result of a secret ballot by the members of the Scientific Council, by an overwhelming majority of votes, Hovik Melkonyan was elected as a member of the ShSU Board of Trustees.

During the session, other current issues related to the university’s activities were also discussed.
