Election of the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities Held at ShSU

Today, Shirak State University hosted a regular session of the Scientific Council. The Chairman of the Scientific Council, ShSU Rector Y. Serobyan, presented the agenda, which included the election of the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities.

Two candidates were nominated to fill the vacant position: Nazeli Avetisyan, Associate Professor of the Department of Armenian Language and Literature, and Aida Gareginyan, Associate Professor and Acting Dean of the same faculty.

After confirming the compliance of the documents submitted by the candidates with the requirements set by the “Regulations for the Election of a Faculty Dean,” the Scientific Council listened to their proposed faculty development concepts. Afterwards, the candidates answered questions addressed to them.

As a result of the secret ballot held in two rounds (in the first round, the candidates received an equal number of votes), Aida Gareginyan was elected to the position of Dean of the Faculty of Humanities.
