Laboratory experiments with the participation of students from the SHSU school
Today, 8th-grade students from the basic school of Shirak State University visited State University of Shirak. The visit was organized within the framework of a project titled “The role of knowledge of Armenian lexicology in the process of mastering and memorizing the classification of chemical reactions.”
During their visit, the students took part in both cognitive and practical activities in the chemistry laboratory. Associate Professor Karine Avagyan and Assistant Tehmine Panosyan from the Chair of Biology and Chemistry introduced them to laboratory equipment and explained the principles of their operation.
As part of the project work, the students studied the main types of chemical reactions—combination, decomposition, exchange and substitution. In order to consolidate their theoretical knowledge, the students, with the support of first-year students from the Chair of Biology and Chemistry, carried out relevant experiments related to the topic.
The visit helped stimulate the students’ interest in both chemistry and their native language, demonstrating the effectiveness of an interdisciplinary approach.
