A Regular Meeting of the Academic Council Was Held at Shirak State University

On June 16 of this year, a regular meeting of the Academic Council was held in the conference hall of Shirak State University. At the beginning of the meeting, the Rector of ShSU and Chairman of the Academic Council, Ye. Serobyan, presented the agenda, which was approved after discussion.

The first item on the agenda concerned the conferment of the academic title of Associate Professor upon two university staff members. The issue was presented to the Council members by the Academic Secretary, K. Petrosyan.

Following a closed secret ballot, the Academic Council decided, by an overwhelming majority of votes, to confer the academic title of Associate Professor in the field of “Pedagogy” (13.00.01) upon Anahit Zadoyan, Assistant Professor at the Chair of Pedagogy of the Faculty of Social Sciences of ShSU and Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences.

The majority of the Academic Council members also voted in favor of conferring the academic title of Associate Professor in the field of “Linguistics” (10.02.00) upon Nelli Nalbandyan, Assistant Professor at the Chair of Foreign Languages and Literature of the Faculty of Humanities of ShSU and Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences.

Regarding the remaining items on the agenda, the members of the Academic Council discussed and approved the revised procedure for the publication of the Scientific Bulletin of ShSU, as well as recommended for publication a number of scientific works authored by representatives of the university’s academic and teaching staff.

At the end of the meeting, the members of the Academic Council also discussed current issues.
