The 27th Student Sports Games Table Tennis Tournament was held at SUSh

The Student Sports Games Championship Table Tennis Tournament was held at State University of Shirak for the 4th consecutive year, with 70 student-athletes from more than 8 universities of the Republic participating.

The 27th tournament, held on May 2, was distinguished by high competition, interesting and tense games, during which each participant demonstrated not only their technical skills, but also their will, endurance, and game thinking.

In the persistent and uncompromising team and individual competition, the prize places were distributed as follows:

Girls’ team fight:

1st place: ASUE

2nd place: RAU

3rd place: National Polytechnic University of Armenia (NPUA)

Boys’ team fight:

1st place: ASIPCS (Armenian State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports)

2nd place: RAU

3rd place: YSMU

In the girls’ individual competition, Ellada Gevorgyan (NPUA) took the honorable 1st place, Mariam Hambardzumyan (ASUE) secured the 2nd place, and Nelly Khachatryan (YSMU) took the 3rd place.

In the boys’ individual competition, Avet Vasilyan (ASIPCS) took the honorable 1st place, Sargis Avanesyan (RAU) secured the 2nd place, and Norayr Ghukasyan (ASUE Gyumri Branch) took the 3rd place.

Yervand Serobyan, Rector of SUSh, also delivered a speech at the closing ceremony of the event.

He encouraged the participants to actively engage in sports, emphasizing its important role in shaping student life.

The competitions were held in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

At the end of the tournament, the winners were awarded with certificates.
