A Round -table Discussion in ShSU Dedicated to the 80th Anniversary of World War II
On the initiative of the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Gyumri, Shirak State University hosted a round table discussion dedicated to the 80th anniversary of World War II.
The purpose of the event was to prevent the falsification of historical facts, to provide the younger generation with factual data on the causes and preconditions of the Second World War.
Lecturers-historians from Yerevan State University, Moscow State University Yerevan branch, Vanadzor State University and Shirak State University made their reports on the topic.
Students from the Departments of History from the mentioned universities also participated in the discussion.
