KICK- OFF MEETING OF THE ERASMUS + ABIONET PROGRAM

On February 5-9, 2018, the kick-off meeting of the ERASMUS + AbioNet – “Armenian Network of Excellence in Bio-Products Science and Technology” project was held in the Greek city of Thessaloniki. The duration of the project is three years. Its purpose is to create strong links among education, entrepreneurship and innovation in the sphere of bio-production. Europe was represented by coordinator Thessaloniki Alexander Technological (Educational) Institute (Greece), Dresden University of Technology (Germany), University of Teramo (Italy), the “Catholic University of Portugal” (Portugal).

The Armenian participants of the project were the Ministry of Education and Science, RA, Shirak State University, the Armenian National Agrarian University and Gavar State University.

From Shirak State University, Assistant Professor Gayane Oksuzyan (Chair of Geography, Biology and Chemistry) and Armine Suvaryan (Chair of English Language and Literature) took part in the meeting.

At the meeting, the coordinator university presented the working packages as well as the curricula concerning the given sphere, then the things to be done during the coming year were analysed and discussed, thus making a time-table for each activity.

Within the frames of the project, it is also planned to create a website in English and Armenian to distribute information about the project.
