Non-formal courses on the socio-economic development of Shirak region were held at SUSh

On April 15, 17, and 20, non-formal courses were held at SUSh.

The courses were intended to present the results of research carried out within the framework of the intra-university grant under the code “SUSh N01-SCI-2025.”

The lecturer, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor A. Boyajyan, presented the socio-economic situation of Shirak region in 1950–2025. He touched upon the administrative-territorial changes of the region, the dynamics of population size, the potential of industry and agriculture, structural changes in the social sphere, as well as the privatization process and its resulting socio-economic and demographic consequences.

Students majoring in “Geography” and “Service” actively participated in the courses and discussions.
