Information meeting within the framework of ERASMUS+ AbioNet program

On March 1, within the framework of ERASMUS+ AbioNet “Armenian Network of Excellence in Bio-products Science and Technology”, an information meeting with the participation of lecturers and students was held at the Department of Nature Studies and Mathematics in Shirak State University.

The “Network of Excellence in Bio-products Science and Technology” program is coordinated by the Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki, Greece, and the main goal is to create a network of excellence of science and technology of bio-products.

The expected outcome of the program is to establish an international network of excellence in biotechnology education between Armenian and European universities, within the framework of the consortium developing and implementing a curriculum/ course in the sphere of applied bio-science.

The starting meeting of the program took place in February, 2018, at the Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki, Greece, during which the coordinating University presented working packages, plans for the next year, drawing up a schedule for each operation.

The next seminar of the ERASMUS+ AbioNet program was held in October, 2018, at  Technical University of Dresden, during which the Master’s program elaborated by the Shirak State University working group was presented. As a result of the discussion, there were proposals from different universities on the direction of the educational program, after which the working group reviewed the Master’s educational program, elaborated the program specification and all subject descriptions in Armenian and English. At this stage the process of buying equipment is already underway.
