A Day Dedicated to Avetik Isahakyan at SUSh

On the initiative of the Department of Armenian Language and Literature, a series of readings dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Avetik Isahakyan was organized. The readings were presented by school pupils and university students.

The spirit of great poetry lives in the rich and diverse imagery of Isahakyan’s works. His entire is like a song about the past, present, and future of Armenia.

All the works of Avetik Isahakyan carry a soft and warm light and are filled with that light. His sadness is bright, and his poetic world is full of light, as if the sun in that world never sets. In Avetik Isahakyan speaks eternal youth—the eternal youth of the nature that created the land we call Armenia.

The warm atmosphere of the discussions, filled with heartfelt and inspiring words, gave every participant an opportunity to reflect and immerse themselves in thought.

The meeting was summarized by Marieta Khachatryan, Head of the Department of Armenian Language and Literature, who emphasized the great importance of the literary legacy of the Master, Avetik Isahakyan.
