Spring Tree Planting Completed at ShSU
On April 15, within the framework of social partnership and long-term cooperation, the representatives of the charity organization “ATP” (Armenia Tree Project) visited Shirak State University. They came with the mission of adding two more evergreen spruces to the two evergreen spruces that was presented to the university in the previous years.
Over the past three to four years, the above-mentioned organization has provided pleasant surprises during the spring and autumn tree plantings held by ShSU. During that period, they have presented the university with more than 180 different species of trees and about 250 species of bushes, which today decorate the university courtyard, turning it into a unique aesthetic model for students and staff, as well as an alternative educational centre of “green thinking”.
For long-term and effective cooperation with the university, Rector Ye. Serobyan handed certificates of appreciation, as the best partners, to Ruzanna Arustamyan, programme coordinator of the “ATP” (Armenia Tree Project) charity organization in Armenia, and Alexander Mirzoyan, an employee of the same organization.
At this year’s spring tree planting, the picturesque and well-maintained garden of ShSU was replenished with three newly planted lindens, about 40 junipers, numerous bushes, and ten fruit trees – apricots and cherries.
