Presentation of a Study Manual at State University of Shirak
The book has always had its unique role in the development of society and education. It is not
without reason that it is said that the book is the only and exceptional path that leads through
the roads of light, hope, and culture. Within the framework of the internal university grant of State University of Shirak, the presentation of the manual “Interpreting Studies (Manual)” (authors: A. Hovhannisyan, H. Isahakyan, L. Tonoyan, S. Galstyan), written and published under this program, took place in the conference hall of the university.
The head of the Department of Foreign Languages and Literature, V. Safyan, and the lecturers
presented the importance of the study manual. According to those responsible for the manual,
it provided an opportunity for the authors and students to deepen their professional
knowledge. During the meeting, the authors of the manual presented in detail the results of the work they had carried out. They particularly spoke about the correct working style of an interpreter, thanks to which the world is able to receive equivalent information.
The specialty “Translation Studies” is not only a job but also an art through which
representatives of different nations can communicate with each other.
The students of State University of Shirak presented the importance of their profession
and the skills of correct work through a small theatrical performance.
In their performance, they spoke about the consequences of incorrect translation.
The event concluded with a congratulatory speech by the Rector of Shirak State University,
Yervand Serobyan. The rector emphasized the importance of publishing such manuals, noting that this can also be considered one of the achievements of the university.
