A Scientific Seminar at State University of Shirak on the Topic “Model Scales for Assessing the Physical Condition of Female Students at Pedagogical Universities”

A scientific seminar entitled “Model Scales for Assessing the Physical Condition of Female Students at Pedagogical Universities” was held at the Faculty of Social Sciences. The speaker was Asya Simonyan, PhD in Pedagogical Sciences, Lecturer at the Department of Sports and Arts.

During the seminar, the speaker presented the foundations for developing the model scales, as well as the organization of her research and the methods applied. She noted that the aim of the study was to develop model scales for assessing the physical condition of 18, 19, and 20-year-old future teachers based on monitoring data of university students’ physical development and motor preparedness. These scales may serve as a basis for establishing normative standards.

A. Simonyan emphasized that the aforementioned model scales have already been developed based on the described methodology, adding that this work represents one of the first such initiatives in the Republic of Armenia.
