The second piloting within the framework of the Erasmus+ SMARTI project was held at SUSh

Today, the second piloting of the educational modules “EMI quality assurance” and “EMI research writing skills” was held at State University of Shirak, which was conducted by Hovik Melkonyan, the coordinator of the Erasmus+ SMARTI project, along with Hasmik Matikyan, lecturer from the Chair of Foreign Languages and Literature, and Karlen Manukyan, lecturer from the Chair of Mathematics, Physics, and IT (Information Technologies).

Rector Yervand Serobyan welcomed the participants of the workshop at the SUSh newly-opened EMI Center, underscoring the vital role of the SMARTI project for the university and aiming at an efficient workflow.

He congratulated the participants of the COIL and presented them with certificates to the programme conducted (held) by University of Dresden – the coordinator of the SMARTI programme: Artak Hovhannisyan, Associate Professor at the Chair of History and Law, and Juniors (third-year students):  Ani Atoyan, Mariana Harutyunyan and Aida Vardanyan, students majoring in the Translation Studies / English-Armenian specialisation.

Before the start of the training course, the external experts of the SMARTI programme, professors Amanda Mason and Casey Beamont from the partner University of Liverpool, came to SUSh. They had a meeting with Yervand Serobyan, SUSh Rector,  Gayane Avetisyan, the Head of the Quality Assurance Department, and Hovik Melkonyan, the Head of the Centre for External Cooperation.

They discussed issues related to the activities carried out within the framework of the project and scheduled for the near future.
