The Narekian Spirit at Shirak State University

A lecture and discussion entitled “Narekatsi: the Distant yet Inseparable Presence” took place at the “Key of Wisdom” club of Shirak State University. The presentation was delivered by Marieta Khachatryan, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor, and Head of the Department of Armenian Language and Literature.

During the event, an atmosphere reflecting the spirit of the great medieval thinker was created. The audience was introduced to the distinctive national and universal aspects of Armenian culture and the heritage of the great Narekatsi. Special attention was given to the humanitarian message of Narekatsi’s works, their aesthetic significance, and their educational value.

The participants left the discussion with appreciation and gratitude, departing from the club—symbolically transformed into a Narekian sanctuary—while carrying with them the spiritually uplifting power of Narekatsi’s words.

The event was attended by university students and lecturers, as well as pupils and teachers from Gyumri Senior School No. 1.
