The Festival of the Russian language and culture dedicated to Pushkin’s 225th anniversary” has come to an end
Within the scope of the works provided by the memorandum of cooperation between Shirak State University and Tver State University, the “Festival of the Russian Language and Culture Dedicated to Pushkin’s 225th Anniversary” held on April 22-26 at Shirak State University turned into a celebration of science and culture, contributing to the consolidation of the universities’ academic communities and the inspiration to gain further achievements.
During the five days of the festival, lectures about Pushkin were held by SUSh and TSU professors, a meeting took place with Taras Kuzmin, an actor from Tver Academic Theater, also at the Russian Home in Gyumri were held such events as “Glagolitsa”, “Young reciters’ contest” and educational and cultural entertainments with teaching Russian folk dances with the participation of schoolchildren and SUSh students.
On April 26, the closing ceremony of the “Festival of the Russian Language and Culture Dedicated to Pushkin’s 225th Anniversary” was held at Shirak State University.
On the last day of the festival, the event participants watched the film “We won’t Say Goodbye” and had an online meeting-discussion with the director of the film, Pavel Drozdov.
During the summarising meeting, the participants of the festival were welcomed in online format by Lyudmila Skakovskaya, deputy of the Russian Federation, deputy Chairperson of the Committee on Science, Education and Culture of the Federal Council. SUSh rector Ye. Serobyan, vice-rector of Tver State University Ye. Vasileva and the Head of the Russian Home in Gyumri A. Beryanev in their closing speeches heartily thanked all the participants of the festival and those whose efforts and consistent work made it possible to organize and hold this useful and efficient week.
