The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to the Republic of Armenia and the Honorary Consul were at SUSh
On a familiarization visit to State University of Shirak arrived the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to the Republic of Armenia, Andrew Turner, the Honorary Consul of Canada in Armenia, Vardges Avagyan, and the Officer responsible for Foreign Policy and Diplomatic Service, Sara Khojoyan.
The Rector of State University of Shirak, Yervand Serobyan, and Ambassador Andrew Turner discussed issues of bilateral interest, particularly strengthening ties in the field of education, exchanging experience through reciprocal study visits, and exploring potential avenues of cooperation.
Y. Serobyan noted that State University of Shirak is always open to new opportunities for cooperation. He expressed confidence that this meeting would create new prerequisites for effective cooperation between State University of Shirak and Canadian universities.
Ambassador Turner thanked State University of Shirak Rector Yervand Serobyan, for the warm reception, readiness for cooperation, and the attention shown to strengthening bilateral ties in the field of education.At the end of the meeting, Rector Y. Serobyan introduced the guests to the infrastructures of SUSh and to the “Golden Fund” of the University library.
The meeting was also attended by the Director of the ASUE GB ( Armenian State University of Economics Gyumri Branch) K. Petrosyan, and the Director of the External Cooperation Center of Shirak State University, H. Melkonyan.
