SUSh Delegation Returns from the Summer School at Tver State University

From July 21 to 31, students from Shirak State University enrolled in the “Russian Language and Literature” and “Translation Studies (English–Russian)” programs, along with Vanuhi Safyan, Head of the Department of Foreign Languages and Literature, participated in the summer school organized at Tver State University with the financial support of the “Russkiy Mir” Foundation.

The program was designed for students from CIS countries studying Russian language and literature at their respective universities.

During the ten-day program, the delegation took part in a series of lectures dedicated to the 230th anniversary of the Russian writer and diplomat Alexander Griboyedov, as well as the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War.

As part of the program, participants visited several landmarks in the Tver region, the city of Tver, and Moscow representing Russian culture, becoming acquainted with their history. In Moscow, the participants were hosted by L. Skakovskaya, a senator of the Federal Council of the Russian Federation, and learned about the work of the Council.

In Tver, the delegation visited the national-cultural organization “ARARAT,” representing the Armenian community, whose president, Y. Gevorgyan from Gyumri, is a graduate of SUSh. The delegation became acquainted with the activities of the Armenian community and spent a memorable day with its members.

During the summer school, SUSh students gave presentations that were highly appreciated by the organizers. At the conclusion of the program, all participants received certificates of participation. In recognition of SUSh’s involvement in the program, Tver State University sent a letter of gratitude to SUSh Rector Y. Serobyan.
