Summer School at SUSh: Day 2

The participants of the summer school met with Ervand Serobyan, the Rector of State University of Shirak, on the second day of the program. The meeting with future applicants was held in a friendly, informal, and relaxed setting. The Rector greeted the participants and expressed his aspiration that many of them would like State University of Shirak and would be back as students. The rector introduced the history and mission of the 90-year-old university to the participants, then answered their inquiries.

In the Faculty of Humanities, future applicants visited the chairs, learned about their activities, and explored the various specialisations offered for admission into the faculty. Astghik Voskanyan, a recent graduate of the “English Language and Literature” specialisation, with presentation shared her Erasmus+ program experience with future students. She told about her one-semester-long journey to the University of Valladolid in Spain, her European educational experience, student dormitories, daily life, and the appeal of both the country and the university.

As one of the objectives of the summer school is to organise relaxation and entertainment for students, the afternoon was dedicated to sports activities, with participants taking part in a table tennis tournament.
