Scientific Seminar at Shirak State University on the Topic “The Fundamental Issues and Prospects of Establishing the Institute of Youth Work in the Republic of Armenia”

On the occasion of Students’ and Youth Day, a scientific seminar entitled “The Fundamental Issues and Prospects of Establishing the Institute of Youth Work in the Republic of Armenia” was held at Shirak State University.

The speaker was Arthur Najaryan, President of the Council of the Youth Initiative Centre NGO and lecturer at the Chair of Psychology and Sociology of Shirak State University. He presented the main objectives, stages, and subjects of youth policy.

During the seminar, the speaker also addressed the possible models of youth work and their specific features, the fundamental provisions of the Law “On Youth Policy,” the necessity of community youth services, and the importance of forming a youth-friendly environment. The principal functions of a youth worker, as well as the required competencies and codes of conduct, were discussed.

The seminar was conducted in a question-and-answer format with the application of various digital tools.
