Scientific Seminar at Shirak State University on “On a Generalization of a Problem of Domain Traversal”

A regular scientific seminar was held at the Department of Mathematics, Physics and Information Technologies of Shirak State University on the topic “On a Generalization of a Problem of Domain Traversal.” The speakers were Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Gagik Nikoghosyan and Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor Vardan Manukyan.

The research was carried out with the financial support of Shirak State University within the framework of the scientific project coded SUSh-PRIOR N01-SCI-2024.

During the seminar, a problem included in the secondary school mathematics curriculum was presented. In outlining its solution, brief reference was made both to the well-known mathematical approach and to a new physical approach proposed by the authors, based on the direct application of formulas for determining the coordinates of the center of mass of a system of bodies. Notably, the proposed physical approach makes it possible to prove a stronger statement, which, in turn, is analogous to conditions known from graph theory.

At the conclusion of the meeting, G. Nikoghosyan and V. Manukyan answered questions from the participants.
