Intra-University Cross-Country Race Dedicated to Teacher’s Day at Shirak State University

On October 5, an intra-university cross-country race dedicated to Teacher’s Day took place at the “Mother Armenia” Memorial Complex in Gyumri. Students from various majors of Shirak State University participated in the competition.

The Rector of Shirak State University, Yervand Serobyan, warmly congratulated the participants on the occasion of Teacher’s Day, wishing that every student would become a devoted professional in their field and an educator who inspires a love for learning. He also wished everyone strength, determination and success in the competition.

The race was organized in three groups:

• Interfaculty (girls)
• “Physical Education and Sports Training” and “Initial Military Training” (girls)
• “Physical Education and Sports Training” and “Initial Military Training” (boys)

After a determined and competitive race, the prize-winning places were distributed as follows:

1st place – Kristine Gevorgyan (Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics)

2nd place – Mariana Santuryan (Faculty of Social Sciences)

3rd place – Mariam Vardanyan (Faculty of Humanities) and Lilit Galoyan (Faculty of Social Sciences)

1st place – Lilit Mkrtchyan (Physical Education and Sports Training)

2nd place – Nona Avetisyan (Initial Military Training)

3rd place – Rima Karapetyan (Initial Military Training)

1st place – Yeprem Hayrapetyan (Physical Education and Sports Training)

2nd place – Leonid Hakobyan (Initial Military Training)

The winners were awarded certificates from Shirak State University, and the participants who took first place also received commemorative incentive gifts.
