“Inclusion is a Mindset” – a course at SUSh
As part of the events dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Shirak State University, a course “Inclusion is a Mindset” was held by the “Armenian Caritas” for the students of SUSh, which was organized within the framework of the programme “Contribute to the establishment of inclusive and appropriate quality education for everyone in Armenia”. Anna Galstyan, the project employee, conducted the course.
During the course A. Galstyan presented the steps need to be taken in order to have an inclusive society and to form a positive attitude towards people with disabilities. She also emphasized the role of inclusive education, which is important for providing equal opportunities.
SUSh students who had previously participated in inclusiveness courses organized by the “Armenian Caritas” applied the “Equal to Equal” method by holding another course for their friends.
The event was concluded with game-exercises and discussions, which contributed to the in-depth realisation of the topic of inclusion by the participants and the formation of its broader and multifaceted understanding.
