Charles Malas, Advisor to the Minister of Economy of Armenia, was at SUSh
On December 14, we hosted Charles Malas, Advisor to the Minister of Economy, at State University of Shirak. During the meeting, Charles Mallas presented to the participants the project of creating an “onshore (Dry) port”. The ” onshore port ” is planned to be built in the Shirak region, not far from the airport, since this place has direct access to both the railway and the airport, and is also located on the North-South road.
He presented details of the design work carried out so far and showed the audience a designed 3D version of the structure, as well as presented the expected results and benefits of the project.
The Land Port is designed as a multifunctional, multimodal hub that will have transit roads, serve regional and international companies and be part of a global value chain.
At the end of the meeting, the rector of the State University of Shirak, Yervand Serobyan, thanked Charles Malas for the meaningful conversation and wished him success in the implementation of such a mega-project for the development of the country.
The meeting was attended by the representatives of the administrative and teaching staff and students of the SUSh , ASUE GB and NPUA.
