“Inclusion is a Mindset” Training at State University of Shirak
As part of the events dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Shirak State University, the Armenian Caritas conducted a training session for Shirak State University students on the topic “Inclusion is a Mindset.” The session was organized within the framework of the project “Promoting the Establishment of Inclusive and Quality Education for All in Armenia.” The training was held by Anna Galstyan, a project staff member.
During the course, A.Galstyan told the students about the steps needed to be taken in order to have an inclusive society and to form a positive attitude towards people with disabilities. She also emphasized the role of inclusive education which is important for providing equal opportunities.
Shirak State University students who had previously participated in the inclusive education training sessions organized by Armenian Caritas applied the “Peer-to-Peer” method by conducting an additional training session for their fellow students.
The event concluded with interactive games and discussions which contributed to a deeper understanding of inclusion among the participants and fostered a broader and more multifaceted comprehension of the topic.
